A historical account

of the start of the

IT ALL STARTED IN NOVEMBER 1983, WHEN DON BAXTER (THE 1ST PRESIDENT OF PHOENIX BOWLING SENATE) BROTHER-IN-LAW, WHO LIVED IN LAS VEGAS, NV, INVITED US TO BOWL IN THE WESTERN REGIONAL TOURNAMENT IN LAS VEGAS, NV. HERE ARE SOME OF THE BOWLERS: DON BAXTER, JOHN GAINES, KING BOLDEN, LOUIS JOHNSON, and ROBERT REYES. WE PAID OUR TNBA MEMBERSHIP THRU THE TOURNAMENT, MR NORMAN GRAYSON WAS THE WESTERN REGION TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR.

- 2.

IN 1984, THE WESTERN REGION TOURNAMENT WAS IN LOS ANGLES, CALIFORNIA. MR GRAYSON SENT US TNBA MEMBERSHIP CARDS AND THE WESTERN REGION TOURNAMENT APPLICATIONS. I DON'T REMEMBER WHO THE BOWLERS WERE BESIDES THOSE ABOVE.

WE REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM TNBA HEADQUARTERS SOMETIME IN SEPTEMBER 1984 AND RECEIVE A LETTER/PACKAGE (DATED OCTOBER 4, 1984) FROM MS MARGE LEE, TNBA SECRETARY/TREASURER WITH EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO START A NEW SENATE.
